• duck meat has three times more iron than chicken meat and a comparable amount to beef, excels in high content of zinc, copper, selenium and potassium, but also group B vitamins: especially B3, B2 and B1, it also has one of the highest proportions of protein among red meats (similar to beef, around 19 g per 100 g), which makes it a suitable source of protein for a reduction diet and a diet for gaining muscle mass. Along with this, it is a source of most essential amino acids, including those that our body cannot produce by itself.
